I have been presenting the early Saturday morning show for the past few years every weekend between 8am & 10am with a mixture of genres and decades with every track played on the show. I also present shows from time to time that are themed around a particular decade or genre such as a rock show or an 80s No 1s show.
My favourite decade of music is the 70s, especially artists such as David Bowie, his Ziggy Stardust persona, and all his other world class tracks during this decade. Donna Summer and her breakout disco/love tracks during this decade was also great. Queen ruled the world with hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen and so many other great tracks.
As the decade progressed we saw the rise of Punk and New Wave. In 1975 the Sex Pistols brought Punk Rock to a new generation and towards the end of the decade New Wave artists such as Gary Numan, B-52s & Blondie enjoyed huge success.
